The 12th annual Covenant Health Big Kahuna Labor Day Festival concluded another successful year, bringing together thousands of community members at World’s Fair Park on Sunday, Aug. 31. The celebrated event raised more than $55,000 for vital local charities.

Slated for Grace Ministries Hosts Second Annual Fundraising Event

Slated for Grace Ministries held its second annual fundraising event for women on Sunday afternoon, October 19th, at Two Rivers Church. The 200 attendees entered the building and were warmly greeted and encouraged to visit the silent auction. Coffee was provided by The Empty Cup Coffeehouse and Slated for Grace provided tea, water and lemonade.

Christmas decorating at the Davis home is serious business. Homeowner Whitney Davis, alongwith designer Ashley Jones, owner of Ashley Elizabeth’s Interior Design, begin on November1st annually so that the family has plenty of holiday time to enjoy the décor. Four trees need trimming in addition to all the other trappings the season brings forth, and that takes much time and thought to get everything in place and just right.

Four students in the University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design have receiveda scholarship from Johnson Architecture for the 2025-26 school year to help enhance theireducational experiences. Architecture students Maya Donahue and Madelyn Neidhart andinterior architecture students Hannah Bullen and Jaelyn Mendoza are this year’s recipients.
