KNOXVILLE HABITAT’S SPORTING CLAYS TOURNAMENT RAISES RECORD $120,000

Knoxville Habitat for Humanity raised a record-breaking $120,000 at its 10th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament, held March 20–21 at Iron Mountain Sporting Clays in Kodak. This year marked the event’s first-ever two-day format, with 58 teams competing to support Knoxville Habitat’s Veterans program, which provides affordable homeownership opportunities and critical home repairs for veterans and their families in Knox County.

 

Presented by FirstBank, the tournament brought together corporate and community teams for a 100-round clay shooting course, catered meals and team awards while making a powerful impact on the lives of local veterans. “This year’s Sporting Clays Tournament was not only our largest to date, but also the most impactful,” said Blake Lawson, Chief Development Officer for Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “The funds raised will directly support local veterans, helping them build or maintain the stability and independence that comes with owning a safe and affordable home.

 

 The event continues to grow in both participation and impact, thanks to dedicated sponsors, volunteers and community partners. “Veterans have given so much to our country, and it’s our honor to partner with them as they work toward homeownership or maintain the homes they already have,” said Anna Engelstad, CEO of Knoxville Habitat for Humanity. “We are deeply grateful to every sponsor and participant who made this event such a success.”
