HOLSTON HILLS AND MORNINGSIDE NAMED FEATURED TRAILS FOR DOGWOOD ARTS FESTIVAL

Dogwood Arts proudly announced Holston Hills and Morningside as the 2025 Featured Trails for this year’s Dogwood Arts Festival. The celebration kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Tuesday, April 1, at Holston Hills Community Park.

The event welcomed approximately 60 to 70 attendees, including neighborhood residents, Dogwood Arts supporters and community leaders. Speakers included Knoxville City Mayor, along with Dwight Van de Vate representing the Knox County Mayor’s Office. Vicki Baumgardner and Sherry Jenkins offered remarks on behalf of Dogwood Arts, while Kyle Basila, representing sponsor Realty Executives, also addressed the crowd.

A highlight of the morning was the official ribbon cutting led by Millie Ward, the Holston Hills Dogwood Trails Representative, joined by fellow committee members. The celebration concluded with a champagne reception in the park, offering a festive start to the season.

The Dogwood Trails program, a beloved Knoxville tradition, highlights the natural beauty of the region and fosters pride in the city’s neighborhoods. This year’s featured trails in Holston Hills and Morningside promise to showcase vibrant spring blooms and community spirit at its finest.
